Story

Why I moved into data

I spent years keeping a bank's systems reliable. Now I bring that discipline to data.

At TD Bank I wrote complex SQL, built reporting and traced incidents to their root cause. Then I moved into data science, on purpose.

I validate before I trust a number. I document so the next person can pick it up. I report the honest result, even when a better one is on the screen.

Experience

  1. Feb 2026 – May 2026 · Seasonal contract

    Data Specialist · TaxMobileCanada

    • Owned the campaign-to-conversion data pipeline for tax season.
    • Validated the data and resolved leakage issues.
    • Built forecasts, dashboards and campaign reporting, then handed over with full documentation.

  2. Oct 2024 – Feb 2026

    Solutions Engineer · OSL Retail Services

    • Analysed incidents and owned SLA reporting.
    • Kept stakeholders informed, and installed and maintained hardware hands-on.

  3. Nov 2020 – May 2024

    Technical Systems Analyst · TD Bank

    • Wrote complex SQL/T-SQL and built Power BI and Excel reporting in a regulated bank.
    • Supported data workflows with working knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Databricks/PySpark.
    • Ran incident and root-cause analysis to keep systems reliable.
